COMMUNITY GROUP SURVEY

April 16, 2008 1:10 PM

Stephen GilbertI am keen to hear from local voluntary, sport and community groups that benefit from support from Cornwall's district Councils, including Restormel. Please help me by taking a few minutes to complete my survey.

As you know, local councils, like Restormel, play a key role in helping to support really worthwhile groups with funding.

Last year, for example, Restormel Borough Council handed out nearly £150,000 of funding to help local groups.

But with Restormel, and the other district councils, being abolished next year many groups across Cornwall are facing real uncertainty about their future funding.

I am pressing the One Cornwall team to sort out the arrangements for grant funding under the new Council and the survey will help me understand what support various groups need.

Please click on the link below to go through to my survey:

Many thanks,

Stephen Gilbert

If you are a resident of the St Austell and Newquay constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
