STEPHEN GILBERT WELCOMES DECISION TO FIGHT WAINHOMES APPEAL

BuildingStephen Gilbert, St Austell's MP, has welcomed the decision by the Strategic Planning Committee to fight the appeal by Wainhomes for the Northern Expansion of over 1,000 houses.

Commenting, Stephen said:

"It is great news that Cornwall Council's Strategic Planning Committee have pledged to fight the Wainhomes application.

"I've always believed that the application is flawed. The house numbers suggested are unnecessary, it's on an inappropriate site and our town just doesn't have the infrastructure to support such a large influx of new residents."
