Standing up for St Austell & Newquay

Welcome to Steve Gilbert's website

Steve Gilbert

Welcome to my website. I am the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for St Austell & Newquay.

It's an exciting time here in the heart of Cornwall - because the population has grown, we are set to get an extra MP at the next election.

The boundaries of the new constituency stretch from Fowey, in the south east, along the south coast, past Mevagissey to East Portholland, and then up through the clay country to Newquay and along the north coast, through St Columb Major, to Mawgan Porth and Trenance.

This is my home. It's where I grew up, went to school and now live and work. My family are from Nanpean in the clay country; I was raised in St Austell and went to school in Fowey - and my great-grandfather used to fish along the north coast!

Please feel free to look around my website - if you have any questions then let me know.

Remember, I am here to help you - so if there is anything I can do, please get in touch.

Many thanks,

Stephen Gilbert
